Ton, are those tones really black?? How does it get that, because I know the hide is a light brown colour underneath. It's seriously beautiful. I don't think there's nicer leather in the world.

In some places the patina has gone quite dark, like a super ripe grape, while in others, like that collar fold, it's quite light. I would say overall the jacket is slightly darker than when new and very much so in some spots...

I can get behind this idea. Vicenza all the way for me, I don't think I would buy fqhh again unless I have another motorcycle. Too heavy for me.

I am leaning towards russet Vincenza at the moment...all the images Ive seen of it not least of which is Radz108's stunning Aero Seven make me think it will be a good choice in the long run.

It sounds like it will be an awesome Bootlegger, and I don't think anyone will mistake it for a mall jacket either!

Not the D pocket as i wanted to keep the hand warmer pockets but i added the patch/coin pocket like yours and a chin strap instead of the button hole.

Reviving the old thread to " close the loop" on the thought process behind the bootlegger. The Aero moto shown in this thread was a large part of the inspiration behind the russet choice as well as the sheepskin collar idea.

Ah... now it makes sense.. You decided not to go with the fleece collar? Or is it detachable?

Aero wouldn't do the detachable collar (for the B.L. collar) so I bought some sheepskin and a piece of Vincenza and am working on having it made elsewhere.
