Another newbie question

Hello,

I have recently purchased my first hat, and am waiting for the temperatures to drop to start wearing it regularly. My question is this, should I snap the brim back up every time I put the hat off, or should I keep it the same way as when I wear it?

The general rule is to snap the brim back when you're done wearing it, and then keep it in a hat box. I always snap the brim up when I'm done wearing my hat, but if it's one that I wear regularly, it usually sits on a table, not in a box.
