Hey guys,
New to the forum here i was directed here from a friend, I just picked up this original B-3 bomber jacket from the son of a b-17 veteran yesterday and looking for some opinions or if anyone is interested in such a thing. The veteran wore this well after the war as his motorcycle jacket, so it is a little worn with a replaced zipper and a small hole in the right cuff but it is a large size 44R. The sheepfur lining is in really good shape though no hole or rips or deterioration at all. The label reads :
Type B-3
size 44 regular
AC drawing number 33H5595
Order No. 42-12692P
H.L.B. Corp. NY
Property Of
Airforce U.S. Army

I saw your jacket first for sale on Ebay today. It looks like a wearable example and dates to 1942. For the collector the downside is it lacks its waist straps/buckles and collar straps and buckles, but these can be replaced. The repro zip could be replaced with a NOS Talon.

What's the sleeve length please (shoulder seam to end of cuff excl. fur)? Thank you.
