I've been looking for a Barbisio ever since I read about them here. I finally scored one in my size.
The inside looks like it may be a little bit rough, but I really like the lines of this hat.

The liner looks clean.
The stuff on the sweatband doesn't look like
mold. Probably some dirt or oils raised from
the leather. I'm guessing it'll wipe right off with a
moist rag.

I love the classic angles on those dents.
Congrats.

It came today.
The felt is unbelievable.
It originally had a bound brim, but the ribbon has since been removed. It's pretty hard to tell unless you looks directly under a light close up.

I've never seen a bow with the back angled quite like this one.

Interesting to note- it has the corrugation, like a borsalino, but has a reeded sweatband.

Your Barbisio is from the original factory that closed many years ago . I'd date that hat from the 1950's . They gave Borsalino alot of competition back then . The hat were just as good as Borsalino's.

Thanks all.
I don't know why barbisios are so scarce. My only guess is that they didn't import as vigorously as Borsalino did.
