I'm looking at a Borsalino Stingy on Ebay that has the following inside on the liner:

Antica Casa Borsalino AVGVSTA Alessandria Italia.

On the Black leather sweatband it says:

Borsalino Grand Prix Paris 1900, Made in Italy by Original House Founded in 1857. Also the letters: NPA and words: Wallachs, Diamante II

Is this a worthwhile pursuit?

I think I found the one you're talking about. It looks nice enough,and I can't say I've ever seen that logo. If you really like the way the hat looks- sure- go for it.
