Borsalino's corrugated sweatband

Does Borsalino still put that corrugated piece in the front of the sweatband? If not when did they stop?

I have an example from 1979 so I would say they used them until the ownership change in the early 1980s.

I have 1 that I purchased new in around 1986 that does not have it. My hat was made after the ownership change by all indications.

Depends upon the sweat selected by the retailer or wholesaler so no consistent use, but I haven't seen one post "Original House".
