Thanks for the comments, I do feel that it is a better width. Feels less like a sombrero and more like a fedora now. I also feel that if I took anymore it would be too much! I don't know how to explain it but it felt smaller immediately when I put it on. Maybe just in my head or maybe less wingspan, I dunno. [huh]

it does feel good to attempt something I would not have dared before and not end up butchering my hat.
