Hi FL - I’m a newbie to shearling jackets and I’m hoping to avoid any unintentional errors in how I use or store them.
At the moment I tend to store my jackets flat when not in use - it’s wearing season and both are in heavy use, so I tend to alternate between my D1 and Flyweight Irvin. The jackets are laid flat on a wide chair when not in use … which I’m guessing is fine as there’s no weight or pressure on them to deform them.
However … when spring comes my plan is to store them flat in a large zippered garment bag (some I’ve specifically ordered that are like huge zip lock bags that’ll have no way for moths/insects to get inside!).
The question is … am I over doing it? I’m super paranoid about moths doing damage to them during warmer months when our windows are open (I live in Ireland, air con isn’t ‘a thing’ here).
Thanks folks (as ever) for your help!
