Folks,

A dear man in the vintage scene out here in the SF Bay Area, Phil Frank was a syndicated cartoonist that most of you might remember from his work on "Farley" and "Elderberry". After announcing his retirement only a few days ago, he has passed away.

Phil Frank's Obit write up in the San Francisco Chronicle

He will be missed:

I just read of his retirement in the Chronicle last week. That was depressing enough. But I had no idea his health had gotten this bad. He will be missed. So will his humor.

Aw, damn. I've read his stuff since the beginning and have missed it since I don't read the SF Chron any more. I was subsisting on his short work in Road & Track.

S'long, Phil - Farley - Bruce - all of you.
