Chippewa Engineers, relasted by Unsung 10.5 Brannock $350

Bought from a Stitchdown member, so I am the 2nd owner, I don't have the Chippewa size on record and the boots are not marked, but they fit my 10.5D (hi volume) feet very well. I think Chippewa are generally a half size down from Brannock, so assume these are a 10. I'm cutting back on my collection, and I pick my Rolling Dub Trio Root's engineers if I'm wearing black engi's so these don't get used.

Little wear (see pics) but a much improved construction as a result of the Unsung rebuild. Soles = Dr Sole Supergrip.

I'd like to get $350 for them, PP F&F, or Wise, shipping at Buyers cost.

Nice looking boots. So they were relasted and resoled? Any info on the relasting - was it used simply to make the boot smaller or did they change the shape somehow?

From what I've read of the original owners comments, it was more a case of upgrading the foobed and sole & shaping to a last he knew and liked, he talks about the quality improvement. Without a reference on previous sizing and shape (last) I can't really offer much opinion, but they comfortably fit my 10.5D Brannock feet. I'm relatively high volume (high arch & instep) and the pass-through for these engineers is easier than my Westco's or the RDTs, but the heel is snug and nicely cupped, and there's wriggle-room in the toe-box. The fit is good, I can give you some other reference points in terms of lasts and sizes if that helps?

It looks like the toe was made more rounded (viewed from the top), and flattened out. Chippewas in my experience have toes closer to old cowboy boots (before they got all super pointy).
