Hi there I just came across this website recently. I registered yesterday and this is my first thread.
I acquired a knox boater hat not long ago that I've been curious about its age. Judging from the overall condition of this boater (looks pretty new) and the openwork structure on sweatband (I personally haven't seen this kind of design on sweatband of earlier eras) somehow I feel like it might be made in 50s. There is no other label behind the sweatband but only a size tag. I'm not quite sure about my own guess as the look of boater hat hasn't changed much throughout the years. I would appreciate it very much if anyone could give me any helpful information to date the approximate manufacturing period.
