While on the subject of Seersucker -- white bucs only? Those are a devil to keep clean...

White bucks or white suede wingtips like the type currently on sale at J. Crew are your best option. Though I have worn tan shoes without much scandal.

The Double-breasted seersucker suit is very nice, but DB rudes some one the lightness of the seersucker, obviously, which makes it a bit less suited for the hottest of summer days.

I have seen this suit and it is as nice as any. The pants are a little boxy in heir cut. Personally, I like that, though some folks like a more tailored look. Their single-breasted jackets have this same generous tailoring as if they are emulating the Ralph Lauren suits.

Seersucker is meant to be worn with panache.

I have yet to find a way. Liquid polish ruins the suede.
Personally, I spray some 3M protectant on them. And, I don't worry when they get a little dirty; they look terrible when they are brand new. Once they get filthy, they go to Goodwill and I buy another pair. [huh]

I think we have a suede shoe cleaning thread somewhere... They make and eraser and brush kit that works well.

Id love to have a good DB linen suit, though the DB seersucker has never been white my style.
