Deep conditioning before a Perm?

How many days before a perm should I give my hair a deep condition?
I want my hair to be in the best shape before next weeks appointment!

I wash my hair 3-4 days before a chemical treatment and do a deep conditioning treatment.

Thank you both!!! I did a deep conditioning and got a cold perm. Just washed it for the first time. Fingers crossed
