Determining which hat is right?

Ok, the short answer is probably the one that I like. However, as with pretty much any article of clothing, there are does and don'ts so what are the basic guidelines for determining if a hat is "right" for a given shape of the face, shape of the head, coloration, etc.

There are guidelines, but I think it really boils down to what you think looks best on you and what you find most comfortable.
