I'm always hoping that Fedora Loungers find vintage shoes on eBay. This pair of spectator shoes is dead stock (never used, never worn), a size 9 D, and in its original shoe box. The shoes are probably from about 1940. Did anyone here buy them? Click on:

My point is that you still CAN find vintage shoes (and suits) at good prices and in relatively good sizes on eBay. If you're a size 9 D, want a pair of vintage '30s or '40s shoes, and didn't see this one on eBay .... don't give up: keep looking.

I've seen some very nice spectators on ebay. The only problem I've had is that they are either too big (supposedly I'm 8.5C), or they cost more than a nice suit. I'm still looking for some nice black/white wingtips.
