I keep toying with going for my license. I think I should just to see how I feel on a motorcycle.

if you are in the US take the MSF course and you will get an idea.
Some states like PA the course is free I believe. I’m in NY so paid around $400.

I'm in the UK. They have a similar thing here which is about £40. I could give that a go.

I’ve also got a Z900RS and love it, especially after having the seat customized to be a bit more comfortable. I’ve yet to see another in the wild.

Between 2007 - 2012 I rode on back roads in rural areas of Central Illinois with the Honda Nighthawk 650. It was a great bike to learn with, very reliable and easy to handle, if a touch on the heavy side for a starter.

I Highly Recommend the Motorcycle Foundation Basic Ryder course, as well as the more advanced courses. This will help a new person decide if it's really for them or not, as well as make you much more aware as a car or truck driver what a motorcyclist goes through every single time they ride.

I had to sell CUTO (CU70) last year when I moved but I’ll be back soon and ref leather the shirt and jeans I am wearing are actually fully armoured and and more abrasion resistant than kangaroo leather (Kevlar and other clever modern fibres)
And I the FL style in the winter I rode with my real modern Irvin flying jacket over the check shirt to keep toasty ! So I go the 1930s vibe in
