OK people: restoring my 50's police jacket, need a source for a good brass vintage style zipper, most sources I can find only seem to do bulk........

Zippers come up on eBay fairly frequently.

Otherwise you could always PM Andrew Swatland here at the Lounge, he really knows his onions when it comes to zippers, especially for military spec jackets.

Try your local shoe/ leather guy. Or fabric store. Brass zippers are pretty easy to find unless you're looking for something out of the ordinary. I don't know what you mean by vintage style, possibly you've noticed some detail that you want to keep. But those two places are where I would start.

Did look there, nice stuff, but this beast has a 15" zip on it now, and that's not standard that I can find anywhere.....many problem here!
