I would have likely bought a jacket from him but he didn't want to compromise as far as shipping value declaration goes to EU.
Otherwise cool guy and a good member of the community. I think his YT videos are informative and useful, especially in spreading the Vanson gospel.

Can't fault him for that, as it is basically illegal despite how common it is.

Now we're all glazing him though, I will say that I really appreciate how he doesn't spam his videos or products here beyond a tasteful pic here and there in the WJAYWT thread. It does make it feel like he's a lounger and not an influencer coming here to fill his pockets.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I was out of town recently and have been catching up.

TFL was the first source of community for me around leather jackets and style in general beyond some lurking on the goodyearwelt Reddit. I started my Instagram etc after having been an active member here for several years.

I do still post here, though it is less frequently than I used to. Combination of less time for posting in general and the frustration of the “oops” error. I also try to be sensitive to the fact that I have a shop and don’t want to be seen as over promoting myself. It’s a little complicated, because this is still mentally my “first home” on social media

I made a google business profile so folks can offer independent reviews of the shop. Generally speaking everyone has given 5 stars except one fellow who gave 4 stars due to Rainbow Country having a production delay.

From the few talks I've had with Del, they were all great and Del seems like a very down to earth person would love to buy a jacket from him someday, but sadly import and fees are killing me so it would have to be something very special haha.

You Sir, appear to be a member of a very small party.

I've never bought anything from Del but I very much appreciate the way he shares w/out appearing to be a shill for his own business or any other. I had read many of his posts here over the recent couple three years and never even realized he had a leather shop until sometime in the last 90 days or so. Very inobtrusive, curiously knowledgeable and shares without expectation. Conversely, Guy Fieri is a vapid *ss clown. I don't see the similarity.

Honestly the hatred on Guy Fieri is unfair too. Every little restaurant he's featured speaks highly of him and how hard he works.

The difference for me is that I am interested in Del’s view and edified by his comments. Conversely I have zero interest in anything an attention mongering professional eater might have to say. Those two are polar opposites and I have no hate…. Just no interest in what one of them might impart.
