I received this from Dinerman last summer: 30's Straw Leghorn. Does anyone else have examples of a French Leghorn? Was looking for more info on these and what dictates the title?

Google took me to an online dictionary, which got me this:

leg·horn (lghôrn, -rn)
n.
1.
a. The dried and bleached straw of an Italian variety of wheat.
b. A plaited fabric made from this straw.
c. A hat made from this fabric

RBH, that ad is great, but shows how the hat market has fallen during the years. We've gone from having all sorts of straws, to having, at least popularly, coconut, paper, or plastic hats.

Here's my limited expereince with Leghorns
