Up for sale we have a great pair of Bronson MFG Lot 47801 - postwar 1947 Levi's 501 reproduction raw selvedge jeans, size 34 new w/ tags.
Bronson MFG Co. is a highly regarded manufacturer specializing in high-quality reproduction and vintage-inspired workwear, military garments, and classic American casual wear. Known for their great attention to historical accuracy and craftsmanship, Bronson produces durable, well-constructed apparel using unique fabric that closely resemble those of the original. I own a number of Bronson MFG products and have not been disappointed. Great quality products at a fraction of the price of Japanese and other manufacturers.
The Lot 47801 is one of Bronson's staple jeans, and is sold out on their website. A really beautiful pair of raw selvedge jeans that serves as a great reproduction of an absolutely iconic pair of jeans. Only selling as I have just a few too many pants.
The 1947 Levi's 501 reflect the shift from wartime utility back to peacetime style and civilian use. Changes include the addition of rivets on the watch pocket, and a slightly slimmer fit compared to pre-war and wartime models - the 1947 model has a straighter, more tailored leg.
In hand the denim has a bit of texture and depth to it, an homage to late 1940s denim.
Measurements for the size 34, as taken directly from the Bronson MFG website.
Unwashed:
Waist: 35.4"
Hip: 43.3"
Front Rise: 13"
Back Rise: 17.3"
Thigh: 27.6"
Inseam: 32.7"
Leg Opening: 18.1"
One wash:
Waist: 33.5"
Hip: 42.5"
Front Rise: 12.6"
Rear Rise: 16.9"
Thigh: 26.4"
Inseam: 30.3"
Leg Opening: 17.9"
Please note that I have owned a couple other denim products by Bronson MFG and have found their shrinkage sizing suggestions to be mostly accurate. Of course, there is some minor variation when dealing with shrinkage of raw denim.
Last few photos taken from the Bronson MFG website. Please let me know if you have any questions. Price for the jeans is $95 shipped in the continental U.S. via PayPal Friends and Family.
