You are considering a reproduction USN AN 6552 flight jacket made by David Sheeley (EBay seller sheeley8yv5), widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities on--and top reproduction makers of--US Navy flight jackets of all versions/vintages. This is a copy of the WWII period AN 6552 made by the Bogen & Tenenbaum company. I purchased this jacket directly from Dave, and have worn it sparingly. I love this jacket, but I need to thin the herd. The jacket is in virtually new condition; the only "flaw" being several small snags in the liner--see pics of the inner left chest area adjacent to the "pistol pocket." The goatskin hide is a gorgeous chocolate brown color and is EXTREMEMLY soft/supple; The liner is chocolate brown; the mouton collar is "as new" and incredibly soft; the knits are all flawless and fit very snug; Dave reproduced an exact copy of B&T's characteristic "U.S." stencil under the collar; The B&T tag is an exact copy of the originals, and the Conmar zipper is a genuine WWII original zipper--and functions flawlessly. Dave's USN jackets sell new for $1,400--$1,500 and he does have a waiting list.
