Hi,

After receiving this beautiful jacket form Thedi Leathers I was over excited and thought this would be my 'Grail jacket". But since then I keep coming back to my Pemier Highwayman because of the length of the jacket. It's just as it's supposed to be but I can't seem to get used to it. And I don't ride a motorcycle so I don't really need a jacket with this length.

It's perfect in any other way but I decided I want to take a leap into the Buco J24 territoryor something similar in black. The jacket is made of Brucciato teacore HH 1.3mm and it's a relative unique piece because of the shape of the d-pocket.

This item is for sale for 1500,- euro excluding shipping (preferably EU but worldwide is also an option). I paid 1875,- for it and I think I wore it five times, so it's basically brand new. (bought in may 2025) I am also open for trades. Looking for a Real Mccoy Buco j24 or something similar. PP: 22-23. Shoulders 19-20 inch.

Measurements:
P2P: 56 cm, 22 inch
Shoulder: 49,5 cm, 19,5 inch
Back: 59 cm, 23,2 inch
Arms straight: 64 cm, 25 inch
Arms curved: 66 cm, 26 inch
Bottom hem: 53 cm, 20,8 inch

Thanks

Brah, this jacket looks perfect on you. If you sell, you may regret it. This was a masterpiece. Just put it in your closet for another year while you enjoy another jacket.

If you insist on selling, you should post your fit pics. Whoever buys this, if it fits him like the OP, is lucky!

Fit pics are a good idea. Comments in chat and here are making me question my choice already.

That’s a Teacore jacket that fits you perfectly. The jacket is 10/10 and the fit is 10/10. Unless you need money to fund the J24 or that the jacket no longer fits (lose weight if necessary), I would not sell this. No guaranty the J24 (which has a standard D-pocket design btw, not something interesting like this Thedi) would fit you this well.

The grass is not greener on the other side. It is green where you water it. After a decade or two of use, your jacket could patina into this:

As much as I’m trying to persuade OP to not sell, you potential buyers should ****** this up ASAP, if it fits you. OP’s loss is your gain.

No way I would get rid of this, for two reasons:

1) That's a completely different jacket than the PHMW you mention to use a lot. They complement each other.
2) Even if the Buco J24 is similar, you do not know how it will fit you, while you know this one fits like a glove and it is not a worse jacket than any J24 you can find IMO.

Agreed, the jacket is really gorgeous and it fits you like a glove. Keep it and save up for the buco

I have to agree with the seller. If the jacket length was 25, I bet he would feel more comfortable wearing it. All other proportions looks amazing....... what a beautiful jacket!

Preference like back length or sleeve length changes over time. I used to feel like my jacket of 23-23.5” back length was short but now I want to tailor all of my 24”-26” jackets to 23”. Long jacket doesn’t look flattering but short jacket pops!

The point is for OP to hang onto it, he may change his mind in the future.

This is the only place I know where people try to talk someone out of selling something, and I completely agree with the statements. This is a killer jacket and fits you well. I handled the same style at a recent visit to Thedi and it was in my top three options to order. While I decided to go with a different style, it's still on my list of future jacket desires. Keep that thing and wear it hard!

There’s a “lost and found” thread (titled “the one you wish you had back”) at VLJ and after 4 pages of “lost” posts, there has yet to be a “found” post. This jacket would have later become a “lost” jacket. Wisdom is prevention—let’s not let that happen to this masterpiece.

VLJ’s OP, quoted below:
“So .. haven’t posted a lot lately as life has thrown some hiccups my way BUT …
It’s also given me some time to think.
So … most of us have had a jacket that for one reason or another, they decided to move on and sell. Then years later they realized that they made a mistake, and wished that they had that one back.
In my case it was a nice Eastman size 46 Goatskin Cable, that I purchased directly from Eastman around 2009. Eastman was discontinuing the line and sold them off at a discounted price of around $700 -$800. Yes, you read that right . Anyway, I sold that jacket and have regretted it for the last 16 years.
So, I thought that there might be some of you who had the same experience. So I’m starting this thread as sort of a ‘Lost and Found’ thread.
List the jacket that you wish you had never let go of .. and just maybe somebody may read this thread and remember buying the jacket, or know where the jacket can be found … I know it’s a slim chance, but hey it’s worth a shot .. so here’s mine .

Looking for a 2009 Eastman Cable Russett colored goatskin in Size 46.
If found … PM me …

Ok what’s yours ??”

Mine is actually a Thedi that I sold to justify another jacket purchase, and the replacement was nowhere near the work of art the Thedi was. To add insult to injury, I sold it for an insultingly lowball bid on ebay (it was listed for a while and I wanted it gone). Then the buyer opened up a case claiming he hadn't approved the purchase, despite extensive questions and chatting in the private massages before buying. It was such a fiasco, I started a new ebay account while mine was frozen.

I still miss that jacket and would happily fork over funds to get it back. It's the one that got away.

I'd like to disagree with the main sentiment here.

imo OPs jacket is too small. The image below the dude is wearing 3 layers underneath and it still looks like a better fit. OP is only wearing a t-shirt and it looks tight.
