Not my size so I'm looking to either sell it or trade for a 7 5/8 or 7 3/4 sized hat.
This is a Resistol Beaver 100 which I believe to be a 100% beaver hat. The feel of the felt on this hat is very nice. This compared to a 5x beaver Resistol this is like silk to sandpaper. The felt is thin and light. The crown is very easily molded into any crease. The brim has a bit more stiffener as it is a western felt but it isn't anywhere near as stiff as the 5x beaver Resistol. The felt is lighter than an imperial campdraft and is one of the lightest felts I've handled.
This would make an excellent hat for a conversion or for use as is with its western style.
There is a small area on the underside of the brim in front that is a bit darker than the rest of the felt. Look to the photos to see this.
Dimensions:
Crown height (as creased): 5"
Brim: 3 3/8"
Opening: 7 7/8" x 6 1/2"
I'm looking to sell it for $130 + shipping OBO. Trades are also an option just let me know what you have in size 7 5/8+
