Up for sale from my personal collection we have an incredibly rare 1930s Montgomery Ward wool work jacket.

Amazing color scheme on this one. Features include the large buttoned sleeve adjusters, classic 30s spread collar, chest pocket, and that great short, boxy 1930s fit. The wool itself is really something special—thick, soft, and way nicer than most examples I’ve ever handled from this era.

Overall condition is very nice considering the age. A couple of small old repairs and minor scuffs to the wool, plus one smaller hole at the right sleeve adjuster as pictured. No significant damage or fraying, which is rare to find on jackets like this—especially around the collar and sleeve ends.

Beautiful original Talon zipper, still shining bright and working perfectly. The zipper code reads “L8” for December 1938.

Most of these jackets were worn to destruction. This one stands out in every way—a true staple piece and an absolute gem for any collection.

Please see all photos for actual measurements. A nice rare larger size as opposed to many of the very small jackets from this era.

Asking price is $650 shipped in the U.S. via Paypal Friends and Family. Shipped quickly upon payment. Please note that as this is a true vintage piece, wear and minor flaws should be expected. Any significant damage would be exhibited. If you have any questions at all about this piece, please reach out prior to purchasing.

Or best offer for this one. I would prefer to sell it here than elsewhere.

I was the lucky buyer, its a fantastic jacket however a bit short for my taste, I will be selling it so if anyone is interested I'm open to offers.

Thanks,
Gil
Unless it’s comically short and unwearable, these jackets were meant to be short. Keep it if you like everything about it, you may change your mind in a year.
