This is an extremely rare Herm’s Leathertogs Model MJ3B Steerhide cafe racer from the 1960’s. Making it even more rare, is this Jacket is in excellent condition, not only for its age, it has been barely worn all these years. I would consider this extremely clean, (I hate to use this term) but near mint/NOS condition, definitely the nicest vintage jacket I’ve ever seen, looks like its a year old, barley even broken in yet, crazy considering it’s age. It is rather clean with no obvious serious damage or odors, and offering a truly great grain in the leather. The leather looks almost brand new. There are some scratches, rubs/minor chipping, creasing, edge/seam rubs, and wrinkles here & there. The most prominent flaw (if you would even consider it one) is Inside the jacket, in the red lining of one armpit, it will need to be stitched. Its coming apart at one small section of the lining seam. Also inside the jacket, the one inside lining pocket also needs a stitch (red satiny liner). Few loose threads on the cuff liner here and there, and can use a bit of spot cleaning inside the wrist/cuff area of the sleeves (red lining). Unfortunately to small for me or would definitely not be selling. Truly a great jacket, I almost want to keep it just to look at. The Steerhide on this is really great, it comes close to my Taubers and Star Glove.
