The Oxford Cap arrived today.
I don't know who produced it. Whether, Germany, England or USA.
How old, I only can guess, maybe 40s or earlier!

Manfred, Great find! I really like the form and also pristine condition. My guess would be a Continental European source (Metric only sizing) most likely Germany.

so i had a delivery today, loads of the usual junk but some niceish things ill post more as i get the sorted through, anyway three velours to start with

Paddy, The JHS Durit Crystal Velour is heavily worn and missing the liner but still really fantastic (also a 58cm). How is the sweatband? I am not aware of Koch Velour. Would it be possible to take photos of the sweatband logos? It has a super look and appears to be in good condition. Is the last one a VEB Luckenwalder Hutfabrik? It looks like the same exact model and color as mine.

This one is by Gottfried Kiniger of Sillian, Austria (near the Italian Alpine boarder). He makes he is own felt (see video clip above) so a bit out of the ordinary. I visited his shop on a recent trip through Austria and I picked up this natural velour hat. It has some Seal Velour qualities and came with as nice open crown block. The sweat, ribbon and liner quality aren't the best but they are functional. My guess is Gottfried and his wife are over 80 years old.
