Hat size question. P & C Habig made in Austria with size tag 6 3/4. Would this be a U.S. 6 3/4 or U.S. 6 7/8?

Gold square tag with black numbers and rounded corners. Any help in dating?

I am pretty sure it's an American size 6 3/4. Is it like this one?

I don't have the hat in hand or sufficient photos. But it's the same size tag and appears to be the same liner logo. Does have a black sweatband if that matters.

Not even sure if it's wool or fur felt but it doesn't state wool on the hat.

I v'e never had one or handled one.

Is it a Trachten / Alpine style? If it's Trachten / Alpine style it could be fur felt, wool or some blend. If it's a Fedora style it will be fur felt.

Actually it appears to me to be a cross between the styles. I think it's a new or newer, 70s 80s, hat so probably a blend or wool. Brim is 2 1/8 so not the normal Alpine stingy.

Thanks Manfred and Steve. Never had a Habig thinking about trying this one out.

Any input on what kind of quality I could expect from this hat? What American brand would match up?
