I've never had much luck with thrift stores and true vintage. I've found some decent repro, and only once anything ever true vintage.

Yesterday
I went to Paddington markets and checked around a guy who sells some vintage stuff and there on the ground were a beautiful pair of Crockett and Jones Scotch grain wingtips with almost new heels and reasonable wear on the channelled soles...and my size UK10. The pair was so vintage they were like a modern style with a beautiful slightly blunt ended last. I have wanted a pair of Scotch Grains for years. Check that off the bucket list!
