With what looked like a cloth sweatband. Ellen pasted the brown hat.

It looks like he is a long oval as you can see the sides of the sweatband in some straight on shots of him wearing it. So the "hat" is not a great fit or a well made custom hat.

Yeah, earlier in this thread I posted a bit about the sweat. It is a big rolled up, puffy thing meant to keep the oversized hat on the wearers head.
