I'm watching a film from 1948 "Act of Violence" with Van Heflin and Robert Ryan. Great hats! Lots of wide brimmed hats, suits and trench coats.

The Great Escape

I just saw the ending of this movie again (during final escape part) and realized there were quite a few hats I liked. I'm thinking/hoping the styles were "period proper", but I liked the styles anyway. My wife particularly liked the hat (shape/color) that David McCallum wore. I'm going to get a copy of this movie since it's a great movie and I can study the various hats at my leisure.

Thats one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. Clooney is a great actor in the style of Golden era actors and I think a lot of people feel that way about him. If he ever puts on a hat, you will see a huge increase in the populartity of hats.

Johnny Depp also bought his mother a big place in Central Kentucky several years ago so I suspect he still visits every now and then.
Depp enjoyed portraying another Kentuckian Hunter S. Thompson and became fast friends with him. He paid to have HST's ashes blasted from a canon for his funeral! All Kentuckians have one thing in common, we're all heading back home someday when we leave.
