Hi all -

I just stumbled on this website today - it's a group for enthusiasts of World War II. Here is the brief description:

The GREATEST GENERATION Society has been established for those interested in the history of World War Two, its people and culture to share articles, stories and information. We honor the courage and commitment of those citizens who answered their country's call. The VA estimates that we are losing 1200 World War II veterans per day in the United States alone. Please help preserve the memory in photos, videos and story.

I just joined and it looks like a promising site.

Granada and Hondo - You're welcome! The man behind it, Scott Lyons, is doing this to honor his father, a WW2 vet. It's a great site that holds a lot of promise!

great link. I was left by my father a 5 volume Fighting Men of Texas set. It has all the pictures and ranking.
My dad was one of the Fighting Navy Seabees.
I honored him on my blog this week.
