Gustin L1 Horween #8 Leather Jacket?

Anyone have experience with the Gustin L1 Horween Jacket? There is a size Large on eBay right now but the measurements make it out to look rather slim fitting. Looks like a beautiful jacket though!

I'm not going to pull the trigger on it. Don't think it would fit me like I would want it to. Maybe someone else on here will pick it up.

That’s been on eBay for over a yr now and hasn’t sold.. I’m surprised it’s still available... I do have a lot of experience with gustin jackets and clothes. In my opinion the quality of everything I have purchased from gustin has been excellent quality. However if you are in between sizes, or not slim fitting, you may find a good fit difficult. I had an L4 horsehide jacket and an l1 and both were top notch for sure.. that l1 is horween leather out of Chicago and ages beautifully!

I have tons of pictures of the L4 gustin jacket here on the forum. It’s a softer Horween horsehide than the l1 but look at the pictures and you will see how beautiful and well made it is..

I owned one in medium 10 years ago. Made by Goldenbear in SF. Good quality. The pattern was reasonable but not brilliant. The fit was generous and the body a bit too straight. The lack of a zipper on the top pocket looks weird, imo. The leather was thick but pliable - very nice.

Goldenbear made a jacket for gustin? Did golden ear make the l4? Wow I didnt know that.. I do know that gustin is located in San Francisco and I always wondered who made their jackets and their clothes for that matter..

I asked when I bought mine in 2014 (first L1 run) and they told me Golden Bear made the jackets.

OP: $600 is steep for this jacket. They were $400 new back in the day. I sold mine three years ago, but I can’t seem to find the listing. I think I sold it for around $300

That was the first thing that struck me about this jacket, makes it look like a leather Members Only jacket,, really lame in other words.
