Hat Bands

Does anyone here make hatbands out of old ties? I saw some old vintage ties the other day and I thought about that.

If the vintage tie is still in good shape, pass on it so that someone who wants it as a tie will have it around. If you find a vintage tie that has a moth hole here or there or has a worn spot somewhere then you can do with it what you like but leave the pristine ones alone. There are not that many left and they are sought after as you can see in this thread:

Good point, JP.

I'd think there are lots of new ties out there that would make excellent hat bands, you know, tachy stuff that goes on sale that no one would wear around their neck, or cheapo ties at Wallyworld or Target, etc.
