Is there a thread with pictures of all the different styles of hats? I keep getting confused with all the handsome fellas and great hats that I see.

Sounds like a fair objective to me. There's the
newsboy caps, aka driving caps
military styles (several)
campaign hats (montana peak?)
bowlers / derbys
fedoras (several sub-categories)
cowboy/western

within fedoras -
homberg - looks like a bowler with a creased crown
pork pie - a low flat-top telescope crown, popular amongst jazz musicians
all others - breaking down several ways -
fur felt vs wool felt
wide brim vs stingy brim
snap brim vs flat vs pencil curl
felt vs straw
high crown vs low crown
tapered crown vs not tapered
and then the various creases, and there is a sticky string that addresses many of the crease styles.

quite a project for us to 1)decide on an organization of these & 2)post pics of representative examples.
