Hat Friend vs Girl Friends

Hello All,

A few days ago I posted a message about having a nice Homburg I bought converted to a Fedora. Well, you'd of thought I suggested cutting the brim off of one of Art's hats to make a Fez.

I discussed this with my wife, who offered this observation. If she had made a similar suggestion to her girlfiends, they would have:

1. Told her it was a good idea, and that it would make her look thinner...

2. After she did it, say the hat was adorable even if they didn't like it...

3. Comfort her with Hagen Daz and DVD copies of "You've got Mail" and "Steel Magnolias" when she realized that she trashed a perfectly good hat...

I think it's a great idea... It will make you look thinner!!!

Found a lovely, real fez in an antique store the other day. 'Fraid I can't pull off the Sydney Greenstreet look, though.

Perhaps you could try for Beni Gabor?
