Hat Storage/Display Idea

I was wondering how to store and display my hats, when I came upon this idea.

You can pick these up for $15 each at Pier 1.

I never noticed the lack of a hat. I was always too busy noticing Jenny Agutter and her stylish pelt (the one that she's wrapped in, of course).

From the ribbon treatment and brim width it looks to be a Christy's Adventurer with a bound edge (do they do a bound edge on that model?).
Could be a Akubra though?

Is the base open or is it filled in to give it some weight? With my cats and grandchildren I'd be worried about them being slightly top-heavy and easily knocked over.

I have a blue Stylemaster coming soon; I'm hoping it'll look that good.

What is that blue hat?

It's a Christys' Adventurer, and it's actually "Bessemer". The hat is really a dark charcoal color. It just looked blue due to the flash. It does look gorgeous in that photo, though. The full frontal shot showing all four hats is more indicative of the true color.

It doesn't normally come with an edge binding, but you can request it at no additional charge.

The heads are open on the bottom, but I wouldn't say they're easily knocked over. Cats and kids, however, can find a way to knock over anything.
