Mr. Range, I've stumbled across listings for a couple of your present models which look like the kind of product that interests us most. Could you provide us with pics and specs for the Stetson Pinnacle, and for the Stetson Dexter/ Knox Dr. Knox. Thank-you.

J.T., I googled the Pinnacle and found this:
http://www.villagehatshop.com/stetson_pinnacle_fedora.html

and this on the Dexter:

Sharp, sharp, sharp... but $295 ? c'mon!
Great looking, very Whippet-esque. But very limited availability (two retailers that I could find)... anyone else find this hat to be "in the ballpark"?

The Dexter is a nice looking hat, The description makes me wonder if this is an Open Road sans bound brim, w/ a new ribbon & fedora crease.

No, it's not an Open Road variant. The crown is lower. The felt is unlike any other. They call it a "suede" finish, but that hardly describes it. You have to see it and touch it to believe it. I'll eventually post pics of mine (Dr. Knox), but photos simply can't show the finish on this felt. I love it!

Here's my Dr. Knox a.k.a. Stetson Dexter.

Note the pleats instead of a bow.

The liner is classy, and the sweatband has a "buttery" feel (soft and smooth).

Here it is on my head.

This is the only site I could find that has the full color selection. Mine is graphite (grey).

If you want the knox label, instead of Stetson, this is the only site I could find.

J.T. that graphite color is gorgeous! Looks great on you!:eusa_clap

and here's another question for the Hatco people...Maybe the powers that be can get there website up to date...or is there a "Hatco" site we can look at to see what's available?...It's no wonder hat sales are a problem. You need to go to several dealers on line just to gather info/background on a hat, which is a world of info to what you find on the Stetson site, and thats if they even list the hat you're looking for.
darn I'm on a rant tonight...I can't wait to see Stetson get themselves back in gear...and hopefully Mr. Range will be able to get that ball rolling.

Anyway...the Hat looks great on you J.T.

Stetson Dexter

We've carried the hat for years in black and Graphite (dark Gray) . It is a nice feeling hat and was always Stetsons best quality hat before they created the Pinnicle hat. At one time , the hat was sold in brown , navy blue and lt gray as well.

Pinnacle

I own a Stetson Pinnacle in Sable brown (courtesy of besdor) and for a Stetson, it really is quite nice. For a factory hat it is unexpectedly good and I personally prefer it to the Borsalino Beaver. I am sure besdor could get you one should the spirit move you.

I think, however, that if you held up a Pinnacle in one hand and an Art bespoke beaver hat in the other, there would be no comparison, and even besdor who sells both Borsalino and Stetson would agree with me.
