Seven Years In Tibet is not a great movie. But Brad Pitt wears a nice fedora and I haven't been able to figure out exactly what it is...Stetson or Akubra.

It may be an Akubra Lawson...Looks to be a "safari" style in any event...still a popular style in Europe...My HJ is similar...and so named...

Yep, it could be. However, I recall the hat had a fedora style wide, bowed hat band.
It would also be interesting to know how many the wardrobe people ordered as Pitt's hat went through a lot of weathering in the film. I suppose these extra hats somehow find their way into the hands of cast and crew.

I wouldn't surprise me if they do. Props and pieces of sets are stolen very frequently.
