    Hello there!

New member after years of lurking! Big hat guy here, and wondering if anyone knows of any hatters around the Minnesota/Wisconsin area? I'm in Minneapolis, but more than happy to drive a few hours, give or take, around the area. I have a couple in commission right now from another state and country, but I feel like if there are some who are close, I should know about them as well!

    Thanks!

Thanks! I maybe should have mentioned that Brass Rooster is the only one I have found or heard of. Ironically enough, I was in Milwaukee for 15 years, moved to MN a few years ago, and have only heard about him in the last 24 hours.

It looks like he's closed for the time being, but I was thinking of seeing if I could stop in, pandemic permitted, next time I make the trip home!

It is not a custom hat maker but Scott @FineVintageFedoras on Etsy.com does cleaning and repairs. But I don't think there is anything else in your area.

Gary White is in Buffalo and of course Optimo and Falcon Park in Chicago but FP does'nt have a storefront....after that hatters are scarce.

Thanks, that's good to know for restoration! My thought was Madison would be the most likely spot other than Milwaukee.

Thanks guys! I'm currently on the list for a Gannon and awaiting some samples...looking very forward to that! From what I'm seeing here, he's made a lot of people some excellent hats.

Hatters are pretty scarce , might be a good business to start . We have 1 hatter in St Louis, Levine, been around for years. Nice shop actually, I need to get down there. I've never been in the place when I didn't leave with a new hat. Spring is coming, straw hat time just around the corner, new hat time !
