Help me identify Velvet pants

Hello, I just bought these velvet pants. The seller told me they were from the 1930s, but I doubt it. What do you think?

I don't know if its a translation issue but we would call these corduroy and not velvet.

Perhaps searching for that might be more helpful. Sorry I can't help with the dating other than that they clearly look old, the trousers do look similar in style and materials to these - also being sold as from that era...

Why do you doubt it? The cinch back is usually indicative of 1930s corduroy pants, but I can’t tell if it’s original or a reproduction.
