I lucked out...
...recently with Hitchcock: A small theater in town showed Rear Window on the "big screen" in an (apparently original) 35mm print. I put big screen in quotes because the theater holds only about 80 people, and the screen is only about 24 feet wide. Wonderful movie. And then, for my birthday, I received a collection of about 20 VHS movies of Hitchcock's from my soon-to-be mother-in-law. The lady has good taste!
