Horsehide / Vegetable or Chromium Tanned

My take on the consensus here is Lost Worlds vs. Goodwear for the finest (and most expenseive) horsehide jackets. What comments on the relative pros and cons of vegetable tanned/Goodwear vs. Chromium tanned/ Lost Worlds...thanks.

Good Wear uses both. There are pros and cons to both leathers. And both are period correct for the era of jackets these makers produce.

Hey HighIron, would you care to elaborate a little? I've never handled any veg tan. Seems like there isn't a plethora of information on (or experience with) veg. tan garment leather.
(Not to mention chrome followed by veg. retan and vice versa.)
