Does horsehide stretch? And does it mold into the body specific for a person? if I were to get a used one, would it be conformed already?

Horse hide stretches' and shrinks also. To a very LIMMITED degree it will form to your body if you take the time to properly treat the leather. There are members who actually "washed" complete jackets with nice results. Personally I have done suede leather jacket with acceptable results.

I think even a used horsehide jacket will conform to your body if you wet it thoroughly and wear until dry. Otherwise, no, I don't think so.

That's not something you should worry about in getting a used leather jacket. I would think that if it is "conformed" to the previous owner's body, and I'm not sure there is such a thing, then it will re-conform to your body. As others have said above, wetting it will hasten the process.

As Will Zach said above, get it thoroughly wet such as wearing it in the rain, or as wet as you can get it with a spray bottle. You could also soak it in a tub, but I don't think that would be necessary.

I got in the shower with one, but that was probably an overkill, lol.
