I was only thinking wearable fedoras! I forgot that I've got a wall full of wearable AAF and Luftwaffe peaked caps and airline pilot caps... I'm a veritable collector of hats!..... it's such a common thing for me that I forget that I got hats!!! Wanna see 'em sometime???

Oh, boy, let me count the hats (know that I have sold or given away even more than I own now). I have about a half-dozen or more in storage in San Diego.

With me here in Iowa, I have:

2 vintage Borsalinos, both in a light brown, one less-than-vintage gray Borsalino, one red Borsalino I need to dump as the brim is too short and there's too much taper at the top (4)

1 vintage Knox golden tan fedora, so soft it probably needs reblocking (1)

1 medium brown Champ fedora (1)

Two Selentinos -- one a royal blue, the other a moss green (2)

1 Beaver brand light gray I need to dump as the brim is only 2 inches and the crown quite high. Doesn't look good on my hefty face. (1)

2 custom-made GH fedoras, one navy blue and one ivory creme (2)

1 black Open Road, one silverbelly OR, one red Mr. Stetson, one Stetson "Gus" cowboy hat, one black 3X Stetson with a rhinestone band (5)

1 Akubra Campdraft sliverbelly, an Akubra ?? medium gray, an Aubra Federation Indy-styled fedora, one white Snowy River (4)

1 Adventurebilt charcoal gray beauty (1)

1 Art Fawcell silvermist Manhattan (1)

1 straw Panama hat and one Toby Keith-style western straw (2)

1 silvermist unbashed 20X cowboy hat I need to get styled. (1)

1 Rand's cowboy hat, old west Gus style, silverbelly with black trim and a horsehair stampede strap. (1)

And I have too many B!Wear Caps to count.

Think that is all. Oh, yes, in the basement, I have a Biltmore black Bogart fedora that I got at Village Hat Shop. (1)

I also have at least a half-dozen others -- a Dobbs, another Knox, things I don't wear because they either have too much taper, or too small brims or too high in the crown. I need to get these resold through ebay and get them out of the house.

Let's see -- total above is 27 plus whatever else I have lurking in the basement, plus the hats in storage in SD, about half-a-dozen, so that is 39 hats. Lets make it 40, I am probably forgetting something.

Holy cow! How did I get so many hats??

Hi, I am not really sure of the number of hats I own, but I can estimate 35 or 40, I try to use them depending of the clothes and the weather, some of them are straws, boaters, fedoras and Homburgs, I really love to collect and use old hats.

Yep, I hear that. What am I supposed to do with two 2005-manufacture Stetson Chathams, size 7-1/2, in Caribou and black. I just don't wear 'em, and they cost me around $120 each. I really wish I'd found the Lounge back in November.
