The Bainbridge and the Vancouver are quite distinct. The Bainbridge starts out hard and smooth and it creases to reveal incredible grain and color variation, while the Vancouver is fairly soft and grainy right from the start. The Vancouver is also a little bit heavier and grainier. Both are absolutely beautiful and you can't go wrong with either! Over the years, we've found that leather samples are a poor method for choosing the leather for a custom jacket. It's really hard to figure out what a jacket is going to look like from a 3" by 3" swatch. We take a lot of time and care to photograph the leather on our jackets, since this is the best way to see how the leather actually makes up into the final product! Our photos allow you to see the various characteristics in the leather, from the natural graininess that comes out during production, to the color of the leather when paired with thread and lining colors. We're shipping out hide samples with fit jackets. Here are some photos of a custom Aero Hooch Hauler in Dark Maple Bainbridge! We'll have more Bainbridge and Vancouver Aero jackets coming through this summer and fall.
