Invisible Suspenders?

Anyone ever hear of/use something called Invisible Suspenders? They look like regular suspenders, only they only have 2 anchor points. 4 strands that connect to only to points. Hope that makes sense. Also, the anchor points don't look like they connect to buttons. The ends connect to metal figure 8 or snowman shaped pieces that I think connect to 2 metal buttons or grommets.
Any ideas on how to wear them?

Are there any invisible suspenders which are compatible with, the buttons that already exist on the trousers? I'd rather not have to install something new on each pair of trousers.

I like those Kant C-Loops - I feel like I've seen double loops like that somewhere before - it might have been in my mother's button box. A couple of those attached with heavy cord could be substituted for each of the leather tabs on regular button suspenders and used to slide over buttons with a shirt in between. If you could find them, that is...
