IMO, fur over wool 100% of the time. I had a crushable Jaxon c-crown & ditched it . Too tapered & too low crowned.

I'm looking to buy the Detroit (c-crown) myself for the cooler months.. so if you get it, let me know how you like it. I have ordered two Jaxon hats, and haven't been too impressed with them.. in fact, I sent them both back. BUT, they were also only $20. This one gets good customer ratings, and since it's fur felt, I'm more optimistic about it.
