Great flick!

Neat film. Favorite lines (paraphrasing; it's been awhile):
"Pick that up!"
"But.... it's all soft and steamy."
(puppy poo on the rug)

And:
"Can I marry your daughter?"
"No!"
"Well, can I use her underwear to make soup?"

I have not watched this one in a while. A fun flick. I like seeing Martin interact with the movie guys I started watching as a kid. Bogey, Cagney, Ladd, MacMurray, etc.

My favorite scene is making the cup of joe. That endless bag of coffee grounds kills me every time!

Being a noirhead it's nice to revisit scenes of old movie favorites. And they are nicely interwoven with the rest of the scenes. But the movie is never better than ok plus in my opinion. There is little of interest other than the classic scenes. Even though I laughed like crazy when the woman enters Martin's office and faints.

I've seen it at least ten times, and have got the DVD in my bookcase. So I gave the TCM airing a pass.

Recorded Nora Prentiss while I was at work though. Looks interesting.

Loved that movie when it came out and saw it a few times at the theater. Rachel Ward was tops in those clothes ! and that voice...

Now when I watch it on the tube my girlfriend just rolls her eyes at me.
