It seems Howard Carter was a committed diarist and that there are almost literally tons of material archived in Oxford that relate to his discovery of King Tut's Tomb. Most of what we know, or think we know, is partial or complete untruth. Oxford's had the archives locked away since the thirties and just didn't know how to go about publishing them, the interent now gives them the perfect venue.
