ideally the hat should still be in place when you go into a clutch, and her forehead bends the brim, meaning you have to reach up and slowly remove the hat to prevent it falling off while still kissing. backlighting and a little mist helps a lot too.

What about when saying goodbye. Not that goodbye-for-good, just we-will-see-each-other-later-goodbye.
In that moment I just do not care about the hat. In my case the hat stays on.
